Our April 2015 Cultural Exchange went exceptionally well and we’re proud of the excellent grading results. This time 3 of the 4 attending senior instructors underwent grading tests too and upon passing their tests they returned home with the Dan Grade of Rokudan (Sixth Dan).
This group was tight-knit, fun-loving and naughty with a zest for life. We celebrated a 100% grading pass rate and experienced Japan in all its glory, from the temples in Kamakura where the Samurai used to roam to the city life in Harajuku (Tokyo). The group participated in a goodwill tournament, trained in different Japanese Dojo’s and spent a full day and evening enjoying the magic of Tokyo Disneyland.
On our return we stopped off in Doha, Qatar.
The children went to the water park and had an absolute ball on some of the best water rides in the world. Teenagers and seniors went on a dessert 4×4 ride where they swam in the middle of the dessert and enjoyed lunch on the beach.
We will cherish the memories of this trip for many years to come and look forward to our next Exchange tour in 2016.
